Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at appointments@sacbeautyspot.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Jeuveau is approved for adults over 18. However, it's not suitable for everyone, and certain medical conditions or medications may disqualify you. Book a consultation with us to discuss if this treatment is right for you.

Common areas include frown lines, crow's feet, forehead lines, and neck bands. It also has medical uses for muscle spasms and migraines.

Unfortunately, there's no simple answer to your question about the number of units in an average injection. It depends on several factors:

Treatment Area: Different areas require different amounts.

  • Forehead lines: 20-30 units
  • Frown lines: 10-25 units
  • Crow's feet: 5-15 units
  • Chin, corners of mouth, eyebrows: 2-6 units each
  • Jaw area: 15-50 units per side

Individual factors:

  • Severity of wrinkles: Deeper wrinkles usually need more units.
  • Desired outcome: More dramatic results may require more units.
  • Muscle strength: Stronger muscles might need more units for relaxation.
  • Metabolism: Faster metabolism can lead to quicker effect fade, possibly requiring more units.

It's impossible to give an "average" without considering these factors. Discussing your specific concerns and goals with a qualified healthcare professional is crucial to determine the number of units suitable for you. We will assess your individual needs and recommend the optimal dosage for your desired outcome.

  • A thin needle is used to inject small amounts of neurotoxin into targeted muscle areas. The procedure is usually quick and minimally discomforting.
  • Most people describe the feeling as similar to a mosquito bite. Anesthetic cream can be used to further minimize discomfort.
  • There's minimal downtime, and you can usually resume normal activities immediately.

  • How long does it take to see results? You may see some improvement within days, but it typically takes 2-4 weeks for full results.
  • How long do the results last? Effects typically last 3-6 months, but individual results may vary.
  • What can I expect after the effects wear off? Lines and wrinkles may gradually return to their pre-treatment appearance. You can choose to get repeat injections to maintain the desired results

Semaglutide is a medication that has been developed to assist individuals in their weight loss journey. It belongs to a class of drugs called GLP-1 receptor agonists, which have shown promising results in helping people achieve and maintain a healthier weight.

Mechanism of Action:

Semaglutide works by mimicking the action of a naturally occurring hormone in the body called GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1). This hormone helps regulate blood sugar levels and appetite. When semaglutide is administered, it stimulates the release of insulin, reduces the production of glucagon, and slows down the emptying of the stomach. These actions collectively contribute to weight loss by promoting a feeling of fullness, reducing food intake, and improving insulin sensitivity.

Semaglutide was initially developed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes due to its positive effects on blood sugar control. However, during clinical trials, researchers observed significant weight loss in participants using semaglutide. This discovery led to further investigations into its potential as a weight loss medication.

Brief History and Development

The development of semaglutide for weight loss reflects the ongoing efforts in medical research to find effective and safe solutions to address the global challenge of obesity. It has undergone rigorous testing to ensure its safety and efficacy, resulting in its approval for weight management by healthcare regulatory authorities.

While previous anti-obesity medications aided in appetite suppression and weight loss, semaglutide operates at a different level. Early studies involving 2,000 obese adults showed that those using semaglutide alongside lifestyle changes lost significantly more weight compared to those without semaglutide. However, weight tends to return once semaglutide usage ceases.

“Fundamentally, managing obesity involves dietary and exercise changes,” says Dr. Surampudi. “But anti-obesity medications serve as an additional tool, depending on an individual’s clinical history.”

Typically, semaglutide side effects are mild compared to the complications associated with obesity. Users may experience dizziness, fatigue, gastrointestinal issues (like diarrhea or constipation), headaches, and stomach discomfort.

Gastrointestinal problems are common initially, but starting with a lower dose and gradually increasing it might alleviate these side effects.

Fillers are injectable substances used to add volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial features. We use  hyaluronic acid containing brands for the best results.

What are they used for? Fillers address various concerns like:

  • Plumping lips
  • Reducing wrinkles and lines
  • Augmenting cheeks and chin
  • Lifting facial contours
  • Correcting scars and depressions

Who can get fillers? Most healthy adults can consider fillers, but consultations with qualified professionals are crucial to assess suitability and address any concerns.

How much do they cost? The cost varies depending on the type of filler, amount used, and provider expertise. Consult a professional for an accurate estimate.

A thin needle injects the filler into targeted areas. Topical anesthetic creams or numbing injections might be used for comfort. The procedure is usually quick and minimally invasive.

Does it hurt? Discomfort varies depending on individual sensitivity and the treated area. Most describe it as tolerable with numbing measures.

What happens after the procedure? There's minimal downtime; you can resume most activities immediately. However, follow specific aftercare instructions, like avoiding strenuous exercise or manipulating the treated areas.

How long does it take to see results? Results are mostly immediate with hyaluronic acid fillers.

How long do they last? Longevity depends on the filler type, injection area, and individual factors. Hyaluronic acid fillers typically last 6-18 months.

What can I expect after the effects wear off? Treated areas gradually return to their pre-treatment appearance. You can choose repeat injections to maintain desired results.
